About Us

A little about our history.

Norder was founded in 1975 with a clear aim of providing agile, high quality, independent engineering consultancy services readily adaptable to client needs. From the start, we have always believed in providing a more personal approach, through a combination of innovation and collaboration. Over the years, our commitment to maintaining strong and healthy relationships by providing sound engineering and architecture solutions while embracing innovative new methods has been a key factor in the growth of both our business and our reputation.

It’s the reason why our relationships we build, like the solutions we provide, tend to be long standing.

Since our formation in 1975, we have grown steadily under the guidance of our six Directors, all of whom are Chartered Engineers or Chartered Architects. Together we have built a formidable track record of handling both high profile and niche projects across the UK, USA, Middle East and Europe.

A very brief timeline.

1975

From the outset, Norder specialised in industrial engineering.

1990s

With health and safety becoming increasingly important in all aspects of construction, we were selected to participate in a key HSE trial. Today, this continues to be a primary focus for us.

Early 2000s

We started providing whole building design services which eventually led to Norder offering full architecture design services while we continued to develop our engineering ability.

2008

We expanded our areas of expertise to include heavy civil engineering and pavement engineering

2009

We continue to develop different sector specialisms and expertise in industrial engineering and architecture and clean room, military and infrastructure design.

Through the past 14 years we have almost tripled in size becoming extensively involved in R&D, successfully developing several specialist products while also expanding into new sectors that include:

  • Forensic engineering & expert witness
  • Building surveying
  • Complex temporary works
  • Military projects
  • Specialist geotechnical

2022 - present day

Fjori joined Norder and brought with them their expertise in aviation, highways, ports and industrial, commercial and logistics.
