Norder have been involved in Forensic Engineering for many years where, in its most notable form, it involves key personnel at Norder acting in the capacity of Expert Witness. A number of Norder’s directors have specific fields of expertise in which they are able to offer the level of technical knowledge expected of an Expert.
A key aspect of Norder’s ability is that we are a company of practical engineers who are involved in actual engineering right up to Director level. This means that all members of the business are able to participate and support each other in the solutions that are developed and as a result allows our Directors to become specialists in their fields.
Areas of expertise in which Norder undertake Expert work include:
- Concrete and reinforced concrete structures including buildings
- General industrial pavements and associated civil and structural engineering
- Suspended composite floors
- Steel fibre reinforced floors
- Piled industrial floors
- Dam engineering concrete structures
Outside of acting in the capacity of an Expert Witness, forensic engineering covers investigative and assessment techniques that allow use of existing facilities for new development. Norder’s extensive knowledge on historical construction approaches and techniques as well as methods of investigation has allowed us to develop innovative and efficient solutions for the strengthening and extending of historical and undocumented facilities.
